HORSE MACKEREL

      The fish has a pointed head, sleek silver-brown skin, and small scales stretching from mid-body to tail. Its back is dark bluish-gray, while the belly is silvery white. Large black round eyes help it navigate ocean depths.

The belly is plump and tender, rich in meat. Long, thin pelvic fins act like paddles for smooth swimming.

       Typical adult size ranges from 21–40 cm in length and 400 g to 1 kg in weight, though some reach 70 cm and 2 kg.
