PARROT FISH

Appearance: Can grow up to approximately 46 cm in length, although some individuals may reach up to 90 cm. Its appearance varies significantly with age and sex; males typically display a bright green dorsal area over a salmon-pink background, while females and babies often have more subdued colors, including blueish scales surrounded by light orange or beige.

Habitat: Typically inhabits environments with sandy bottoms, seagrass beds, and marginal reefs, often found at depths between 1 to 90 meters.

Fishing Seasoning: From December of the previous year to around February or March of the following year. The peak season when parrotfish are the fattest and most commonly caught is from the 3rd to the 6th lunar month each year.
