TINFOIL BARD

   Appearance: The body is similar to a rhombus, tapering at the head and tail, while the belly is quite rounded. Its tail and lower fins of the he fish often have a beautiful reddish hue. The scales of the he fish are thick and shiny, similar to those of the carp.

   Habitat: Being a freshwater fish, it is commonly found in the Mekong River area. This means you can easily purchase this fish in the southwestern provinces.         Fishing Season: Notably, during the flooding season from July to October in the lunar calendar, he fish are caught in large quantities and become a key ingredient in many delicious dishes.
